Costa Rica is home to 943 species of birds. The southern zone from Osa Peninsula to Conte Burica comprises some pretty wild, remote and biodiverse habitat, ranging from rainforests to rios, beaches to bosques, winding incredibly dense and intense migratory bird flyways, from the pelagic Pacific, sweet Golfo Dulce shores and mangrove swamps. Along the way there are a great many hazards awaiting to our avian friends: some natural, but many caused by human impact and carelessness. When we are able to intervene in alleviating wild bird suffering, we are grateful to provide rescue, relief and release to second chances.
